What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit. It lets the site remember simple things between page loads and repeat visits, for example whether you have already dismissed a notice or which page sent you here. Cookies cannot run programs or carry viruses, and on their own they hold only a short string of text rather than anything that names you. Websites also use related technologies such as local storage and small tracking pixels, and for simplicity we refer to all of them together as cookies throughout this page.
Why we use them
Casino Claude is a review site, not a casino. There are no player accounts here and no money ever moves through these pages, so we need far less information than an operator would. The cookies we do rely on serve three plain purposes: keeping the site working as you move between pages, remembering a few small preferences so the experience stays consistent, and measuring in aggregate which guides people actually find useful. That last part is how we decide what to update, expand or retire, and it is done without ever trying to identify you as an individual.
The categories we use

The analytics tools we run
Two analytics tools run on casinoclaude.live, and both are set only after you consent. Microsoft Clarity looks at anonymised, aggregated behaviour such as how far people scroll and where they click, which helps us spot confusing layouts and broken sections. Matomo counts page views, approximate location and device type so we can understand traffic patterns over time. Neither tool is used to build an advertising profile of you, and both report their findings as combined figures rather than anything tied to a single visitor. If you would rather not be counted, declining analytics cookies switches both tools off, and every page keeps working exactly as before.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by other companies rather than by us. The most common example happens when you click one of our outbound links and travel to a casino: that operator, or the affiliate network that manages the link, may place its own cookie on your device to record that the visit came from Casino Claude. This is how our commission is tracked, it costs you nothing extra, and it never changes our ratings. Once you are on another company's site you are subject to their cookie and privacy terms, which we do not control. Affiliate cookies of this kind normally last somewhere between 30 and 90 days.

When you first arrive we ask whether you accept cookies that are not strictly necessary. Nothing optional is set until you say yes, and you are free to change your mind at any time by clearing the site's cookies or adjusting your browser settings. Essential cookies stay in place because the site genuinely needs them to work, but everything else, meaning preferences, analytics and marketing, is entirely up to you.
